Beneficio neto de American Electric cae un 34% a 152 millones de dólares en el cuarto trimestre

American Electric Power registró una ganancia neta de US$152 millones, o 38 centavos por acción, en el cuarto trimestre, una caída del 34% respecto de los US$231 millones, o 58 centavos por acción, del mismo período de un año antes.

Si se excluyen partidas especiales como el impacto de una orden federal emitida en noviembre respecto a los márgenes de ventas fuera del sistema, la ganancia creció de 52 a 59 centavos por acción.

La generadora de electricidad señaló que reduciría los gastos de capital planificados para este año en US$750 millones.

Los ingresos aumentaron un 6% a US$3.500 millones.
