Tanto VMAX - con el nuevo sistema de acceso asignación cloud - como VNX- que aprovecha la estratificación cloud - ofrecen ahora un soporte ampliado para proveedores de nubes públicas y privadas.   • La protección de los datos desde / hacia la nube - CloudBoost 2.0 amplía las capacidades de las soluciones de protección de datos que ya tienen los clientes de EMC, entre ellas Data Protection Suite y Data Domain, con un almacenamiento en la nube elástico, resistente, de escalabilidad lineal, que permite a los clientes aprovechar los beneficios económicos de la nube pública para la retención de datos a largo plazo. CloudBoost ahora proporciona un rendimiento general, escalabilidad y capacidad de gestión mejorados, lo que facilita aún más a los clientes reunir datos a nivel local y moverlos a la nube. CloudBoost ofrece un rendimiento 3 veces más rápido y una capacidad de datos 15 veces mayor que las versiones anteriores. Además, CloudBoost permite deduplicación y restauraciones incrementales al mismo tiempo, sin necesidad de complejas infraestructuras cloud.

 

  • La protección de los datos en la nube - Spanning® de EMC ahora incluye funciones mejoradas de seguridad y restauración, así como la nueva implementación regional en la Unión Europea. Spanning Backup para Salesforce ofrece capacidades mejoradas de restauración de datos SaaS por lo que facilita a los clientes una restauración rápida y sencilla de sus datos perdidos o eliminados. Y la nueva opción existente europea de ubicación de datos de Spanning ayuda a las organizaciones a cumplir con las leyes y reglamentos de Europa relativos a tratamiento de datos.

 

  • Data Protection as a Service - Los proveedores de servicios de EMC y los clientes de EMC que implementen la protección de datos como servicio (DPaaS) en sus propias cloud privadas se beneficiarán de las nuevas funcionalidades de la última versión del sistema operativo DD OS 5.7 de Data Domain®, tales como una capacidad de gestión mejorada, multipropiedad segura y una configuración de plataforma completa que reduce drásticamente el coste total de propiedad.

 

  • Gestión de Protección de Datos simplificada - Finalmente, EMC ha anunciado la próxima generación de su software de protección de datos NetWorker®. NetWorker 9 introduce nuevas políticas universales que automatiza y simplifica el proceso de protección de datos, independientemente de dónde residan los datos. Con su utilización los clientes de EMC podrán automatizar el proceso del traslado de los datos de backup a través de niveles de almacenamiento, de manera que los datos protegidos queden almacenados localmente para permitir un acceso inmediato, y datos fríos se ubiquen sistemáticamente en localizaciones en la nube más rentables. Además, NetWorker 9 ahora también se integra con EMC ProtectPointTM y ofrece una protección integrada de nivel de bloque para entornos Microsoft y Linux.

 

  • Extendiendo los Data Lakes a la nube -  EMC ha anunciado también EMC CloudPools, una nueva funcionalidad para EMC Isilon que permite a los clientes extender sus datos fríos a nubes públicas y privadas. CloudPools permite a Isilon situar los datos sin problemas en nubes públicas como Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure y Virtustream y en nubes privadas con EMC ECS, o en un clúster de Isilon remoto. El escalonamiento se realiza sin la necesidad de un gateway, ofreciendo una funcionalidad cloud sencilla, flexible y rentable.
