Los accionistas británicos de Santander ya han sido compensados por la ampliación de capital

El banco Santander dará a los accionistas británicos el importe que les corresponde por los derechos de suscripción y les facilitará la compra de acciones sin comisiones. Eso sí, los accionistas tendrán que declarar dicho ingreso a la Hacienda española.

Según ha publicado este lunes 7 de agosto el diario Expansión, los 1,4 millones de pequeños accionistas británicos de Santander que anteriormente no pudieron acudir a la reciente ampliación de capital de la entidad financiera española, ya han tenido la opción de hacerlo. Esto ha sido posible gracias a que Banco Santander ha vendido en el mercado los derechos teóricos a participar en la ampliación de esos accionistas, por lo que ahora les entregará el dinero en efectivo.

Según ha explicado el medio, los accionistas británicos no pudieron acudir a la anterior ampliación de capital porque los plazos de esa operación no permitía ofrecer los nuevos títulos a esos inversores, que en conjunto poseen alrededor del 3% del capital a través de unos instrumentos que denominan Crest deposit interests.

La compañía desde el principio pensó que dar acceso a esos inversores en la ampliación de capital hubiera retrasado aún más el proceso en España, por lo que la entidad prefirió dejarles para más tarde.

Tras esa entrega de efectivo que entregará el Banco Santander a estos pequeños accionistas, quienes quieran reinvertir el importe recibido en acciones de Santander podrán hacerlo a través del bróker de esta entidad sin ningún tipo de comisión. Eso sí, deberán declarar a la Hacienda española los ingresos obtenidos con esta compensación.

Recordar que técnicamente, los indicadores Premium de Estrategias de Inversión sitúan al Banco Santander en fase de consolidación, con una puntuación de 7 sobre 10. La volatilidad tanto a largo como medio plazo es decreciente.
