Firman un acuerdo de Colaboración

Santander, Plena inclusión y Fundación Universia apoyan el empleo público de personas con discapacidad intelectual

Esta mañana ha tenido lugar en la sede de Banco Santander (Boadilla del Monte) la firma del convenio entre Plena inclusión y Fundación Universia, por el que esta entidad apoyará el proceso de incorporación de personas con discapacidad intelectual al empleo público de ámbito estatal y autonómico.

Ambas entidades colaboran desde hace años en este ámbito y ya han promovido que 4.755 personas con discapacidad intelectual hayan sido admitidas en procesos de acceso al empleo público.

Todo ello es posible gracias al convenio marco de Plena inclusión con Banco Santander, también renovado esta mañana, así como su colaboración en el Congreso Estatal de Accesibilidad Cognitiva que tendrá lugar los días 19 y 20 de octubre en Cáceres.

Un año más la Fundación Universia apoya a Plena inclusión en el proceso de incorporación de personas con discapacidad intelectual en convocatorias de empleo específicas de la Administración Pública, tanto de ámbito estatal como autonómico.

Cabe destacar que ésta es la quinta edición de colaboración de la Fundación Universia con Plena inclusión en la adaptación de las convocatorias, materiales, examen, así como el acompañamiento a las personas con discapacidad intelectual en todas las fases del proceso.

Plena inclusión destaca el compromiso de la Administración Pública de cumplir con la obligación de crear oportunidades de empleo a las personas con discapacidad intelectual y darles la oportunidad de preparar sus oposiciones, como cualquier ciudadano, en su derecho de ser funcionario público. Este convenio ayuda a impulsar la integración en la vida social, económica, laboral, educativa y cultural, a través del fomento del empleo.

Para Enrique Galván, director de Plena inclusión, “la colaboración sostenida en el tiempo con Santander y Fundación Universia ha hecho posible el acceso a un empleo de calidad a centenares de personas con discapacidad intelectual y seguirá dando su fruto en las convocatorias de empleo público de las diferentes administraciones". Fruto de estos años de colaboración con la Fundación Universia, 4.755 personas con discapacidad intelectual han sido admitidas en los procesos de acceso al empleo público, gracias a su esfuerzo y al apoyo recibido. Entre ellas, 149 personas han conseguido su plaza como funcionario.
