El Ministerio de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible abonó más de 1.550 millones de euros en ayudas directas destinadas a financiar el transporte público durante 2025, dirigidas tanto a comunidades autónomas, como a entidades locales y entes locales supramunicipales, según un comunicado.

El abono de las cuantías que resulten de la regularización, liquidación y justificación final correspondiente al ejercicio 2025 está previsto que se efectúe a lo largo de 2026.

En este total montante se incluye la implantación de la gratuidad infantil en el transporte público para los menores de hasta 14 años, así como descuentos del 50% de la tarifa en títulos joven y la reducción de tarifas, cofinanciada con los beneficiarios, en al menos un 20% en el abonos y títulos multiviaje.

De este modo, se destinaron ayudas por importes de 349,9 millones de euros a las comunidades autónomas y 181,9 millones de euros a las entidades locales. Estas ayudas, según el departemento ministerial permitieron mantener reducciones tarifarias en abonos y títulos multiviaje en ciudades y áreas metropolitanas, garantizando la accesibilidad económica del transporte público para millones de personas usuarias habituales.

51 MILLONES EN TRANSPORTE COLECTIVO URBANO INTERIOR DE ENTIDADES LOCALES

En cuanto a los servicios de transporte colectivo urbano interior prestados por las entidades locales, Transportes puso en marcha una nueva convocatoria de subvenciones por un importe superior a los 51 millones de euros.

Estas ayudas están destinadas a los ayuntamientos que presten un servicio de transporte público colectivo urbano interior, cualquiera que sea su forma de gestión, siempre que dispongan de un Plan de Movilidad Sostenible vigente, coherente con la Estrategia Española de Movilidad Sostenible, aprobado antes de finalizar el plazo de solicitud, y que, además, cumplan al menos una de estas condiciones: tener más de 50.000 habitantes, o más de 20.000 habitantes y más de 36.000 unidades urbanas catastrales, o ser capital de provincia.

Así, gracias a esta línea de ayudas 93 ayuntamientos se han repartido los 51.054.740 euros con los que se ha dotado el programa, pudiendo destacar los más de 7 millones de euros recibidos por Zaragoza, los 4,8 de Sevilla, los 2,9 de Málaga o los 1,7 de Valladolid.

En atención a las peculiaridades y problemáticas que impone el hecho insular, el Ministerio dedica también una línea especial de ayudas para la financiación de un descuento del 100% en el precio de los abonos de transporte y títulos multiviaje del transporte público colectivo terrestre de las islas.

Gracias a estas cuantías, Canarias recibió en 2025 una subvención por importe de 78 millones de euros, mientras que Baleares, a su vez, recibió 41 millones de euros.

TRANSPORTE PÚBLICO REGULAR DE VIAJEROS: 363,7 MILLONES

Además, desde la entidad departamental ve "considerable" también la aportación de 363,7 millones de euros que para la financiación del transporte público regular de viajeros en el ámbito metropolitano.

Así, el reparto se divide de la siguinte manera: 126,89 millones de euros para el Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid, 149,30 millones de euros a la Autoridad del Transporte Metropolitano de Barcelona (Autoritat del Transport Metropolità), 40 millones de euros para la Autoridad del Transporte Metropolitano de Valencia (Autoritat del Transport Metropolità de València) y 47,5 millones de euros dirigidas a Canarias.

BONIFICACIONES EN TRANSPORTE FERROVIARIO Y POR CARRETERA ESTATAL

En el ámbito estatal, el Ministerio mantuvo las bonificaciones en los servicios ferroviarios y de autobús de titularidad estatal, lo que, a su juicio, contribuyeron a sostener elevados niveles de uso del transporte público y a favorecer alternativas de movilidad más sostenibles frente al vehículo privado.

De este modo, se destinaron 307,8 millones de euros a financiar el servicio de transporte ferroviario prestado por Renfe. Igualmente, 66,6 millones de euros fueron a financiar a los concesionarios de servicios públicos de transporte regular de viajeros por carretera competencia de la Administración General del Estado.

RÉCORD DEL VERANO JOVEN CON 6,8 MILLONES DE VIAJEROS

Por último, el programa 'Verano Joven', impulsado por el Ministerio de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible, ha logrado récord de viajes en la edición de 2025 al finalizar con unos 6,8 millones de viajes realizados en tren y autobús con descuentos de hasta el 90% entre el 1 de julio y el 30 de septiembre de 2025.

El programa tuvo más de un 30% más de viajes que en la pasada edición de 2024. El Ministerio destinó 116,8 millones de euros para impulsar esta medida, promoviendo y facilitando el uso del transporte público, contribuyendo así a los objetivos de reducción de la contaminación y de mejora de la calidad del aire.
