Durante la jornada se ha abordado el escenario energético actual, marcado por un crecimiento sostenido de la demanda eléctrica a escala global.

"El desarrollo de centros de datos, la electrificación de los procesos industriales y el avance de la movilidad eléctrica están incrementando de forma significativa las necesidades de suministro, lo que hace necesaria una ampliación y modernización de las redes de transporte y distribución", ha señalado Arriola.

En este contexto, el director de i-DE en la Región Norte ha subrayado que la electrificación de la economía implica "rediseñar sistemas concebidos hace décadas para adaptarlos a ciudades y polos industriales que requieren mayores niveles de flexibilidad, capacidad y resiliencia".

Asimismo, se ha puesto de relieve que la transición energética ofrece importantes beneficios tanto para el país como para la comunidad, "ya que contamos con abundantes recursos naturales como el sol, el viento y el agua, fundamentales para generar una energía limpia y competitiva. MÁS DE 23.000 KM DE LÍNEAS ELÉCTRICAS

En el País Vasco i-DE gestiona más de 23.000 km de líneas eléctricas, cuenta con 11.916 centros de transformación en servicio y 165 subestaciones.

En los últimos años, la compañía ha acometido un ambicioso plan de digitalización de sus redes eléctricas, donde ha convertido sus más de 1,5 millones de contadores en la región y la infraestructura que los soporta, en inteligentes, incorporando capacidades de telegestión, supervisión y automatización.
