De hecho, su índice de referencia MSCI EMU acumula una subida del 30% en el año.
“Las small y mid caps son los blue chips del futuro en aquellas en las se implementa la innovación y los nuevos modelos de negocio. Aquellas que se dedican a la digitalización de la información, biotecnología… Tenemos el caso de Google o de Facebook. Estamos en una categoría de activos que van a impulsar el crecimiento del futuro.
No obstante, es mucho más complicado obtener información de ellas, para empezar porque hay una gran cantidad. Simplemente en Europa hay centenares de compañías con negocios de entre 1.000 y 5.000 millones de euros. En principio, es una desventaja si vamos por libre, pero a través de un fondo de inversión podemos invertir en empresas del futuro y a día de hoy no son conocidas”.
¿Qué compañías españolas recomiendan desde Groupama AM?
“Nos gustaría destacar tres: Dia, posicionados en la parte de low cost, es decir, productos con un precio inferior a la media de mercado, algo que nos gusta, y porque están llevando con éxito una expansión importante en Latinoamérica.
En segundo lugar, nos gustaría destacar Amadeus porque es una herramienta transaccional utilizada por todo operador de estos servicios. Tiene una posición prácticamente de monopolio.
Y, por último, destacamos Viscofán con una posición dominante a nivel mundial”.
¿Prevén una oleada de OPAs dentro del sector de las pequeñas y medianas compañías en Europa?
“De los sectores que están más calientes, tenemos al sector de telecomunicaciones. Hay rumores de que pueda haber más compras como es en el caso de Jazztel, que podría ser absorbida por una operadora más grande, y la otra es la portuguesa ZONE.
Muchas de estas compañías acumulan en el año revalorizaciones de entre el 40% y el 70% en el año. Nosotros somos optimistas en la renta variable europea, y más concretamente en las small y mid caps”.
