Después de las decisiones de los bancos centrales y en especial de la tomada por el BoE, ¿cuál es el posicionamiento más recomendable para tener en cartera en cuanto a fondos de inversión? ¿Evitar UK, renta fija…?

Evidentemente el referéndum en el Reino Unido fue una catarsis, una apertura de caja de pandora, que no ha tenido el impacto en los mercados que presumiblemente se podía tener. En gran parte gracias a la actuación de los distintos bancos centrales. Evidentemente el Brexit tiene una implicación importante no solo a nivel político, sino también a nivel económico, como las cuentas de resultados que estamos empezando a conocer. Dicho todo esto hay algo muy importante que es que las implicaciones que tiene el Brexit no son de corto plazo, sino que las vamos a ver a lo largo de un gran periodo de tiempo. No solo a nivel económico, sino a nivel político. Hay una negociación que no va a ser fácil. Me temo que alguno de los socios de la UE no se lo va a poner fácil con lo cual la volatilidad está servida. Esto es algo que tener muy presente a la hora de posicionarnos en los mercados. El BoE evidentemente ha actuado con una batería muy importante a nivel cuantitativo y cualitativo con las compras de bonos tanto a nivel gubernamental como a nivel corporativo y por supuesto la bajada de tipos de interés. Caben más medidas, todo es posible, como ya hemos visto en Japón.

Dicho todo esto me enfocaría en el caso del Reino Unido. Yo minimizaría la exposición al Reino Unido pero no la evitaría. De hecho, en el caso de la inversión en renta fija británica como posición táctica se puede evitar. De algunos fondos se puede contar con alguna posición en Reino Unido, sobre todo porque está apoyado por la propia actuación del Banco de Inglaterra. En ese sentido, sí que hay que tener posición táctica en el caso de deuda. Sobre todo corporativa más que gubernamental.

En el caso de renta variable podemos tener exposición al Reino Unido. Se puede tener y de hecho nosotros consideramos que todo lo que está sucediendo en el Brexit puede ser una oportunidad de compra en otros tipos de activos incluyendo el Reino Unido. Hay un sector en UK que es evitable, que es el sector inmobiliario. Lo hemos visto como a lo largo del mes de julio ha habido problemas con determinados fondos de inversión de presencia directa en el ladrillo. Hoy por hoy a evitar la inversión directa en el sector inmobiliario británico. En el caso de la bolsa estamos ante unas compañías que son muy globales y que no están tan centradas en la economía doméstica del Reino Unido. Muchas de ellas van a tener que reestructurar algunas partes de sus modelos de negocio por esa agenda política, pero a nivel táctico, incluso a medio plazo, algunas empresas sí podrían estar dentro del algún fondo de renta variable europea o incluso renta variable internacional. Por varios motivos como la debilidad de la libra, que puede ser un catalizador en la mejora de resultados; y luego la rentabilidad por dividendo de muchas de estas compañías que es mucho más atractiva que invertir directamente en el bono. Hay un matiz que es cubrir el riesgo divisa.

Acabamos de asistir a la presentación de resultados de las cotizadas del primer semestre. ¿Se puede aumentar exposición a la renta variable después de ver las cuentas de las compañías? ¿A través de qué fondos?

En general en el corto plazo invito, en cuanto a la exposición de la renta variable, a ser cauto. En este mes de agosto todavía esperaría cierta volatilidad. Los mercados agostean y como sabemos todos en muchos meses de agosto vemos esas volatilidades. No aprovecharía el mes de agosto para aumentar la exposición a bolsa, sino que directamente sería más prudente. Al medio plazo la recomendación sería ser paciente si estamos en los sitios adecuados, ser selectivos, y apostar por fondos que inviertan en calidad. Lo primero es renta variable europea. Apostaría más por compañías más que por mercados.  Estaría en sectores como real state e incluso alguna compañía de seguros, pero no a través de bancos. Con lo cual Europa, sí, pero teniendo en cuenta problemas que tiene como la agenda política. Cuando la agenda política manda la agenda económica y la financiera reduciría la sobreexposición que muchas veces desde Profim recomendamos a la hora de geográficamente posicionarnos. Con lo cual, Europa sí, pero no porque esté barata. Apostaría por fondos con gran experiencia de fondo como Magallanes, Elcano, Abante… Son gestoras que tienen denominador común: la gestión value. Eso en Europa. En Estados Unidos la bolsa es más cara, pero a tenor de que hay más fortaleza en EEUU más que en Europa, los resultados de las compañías excluyendo el sector energético, y con los datos de empleo y de consumo, es interesante tomar posiciones. Por ejemplo en el sector más doméstico. Hay un riesgo que son las elecciones americanas que pueden tener su implicación. Pero EEUU a pesar de ser un mercado que puede estar más caro creo que debemos tenerlo muy presente. De hecho, recomendaría requilibrar la posición entre Estados Unidos y Europa. Japón ni lo tocaría.

Hace prácticamente un año asistimos a un gran terremoto bursátil procedente de China. Ahora parece que la situación se ha estabilizado. ¿Se puede incrementar exposición a emergentes y al gigante asiático en particular?

En el caso de los mercados emergentes la respuesta es rotunda: sí. Sí siempre y cuando no seamos un inversor de muy corto plazo y que no seamos un inversor que asumamos el riesgo. Recomendamos estar posicionados en estos instantes para un inversor agresivo o muy agresivo tanto en la parte de deuda como en la parte de renta variable en mercados emergentes. Empieza a haber una cierta estabilización en los datos fundamentales de las economías. No para tirar cohetes, pero cierta estabilización. Hay atisbo de ciertas leves mejoras y eso siempre es riesgo después del sobrecastigo que ha tenido el mercado brasileño. En segundo lugar, las valoraciones. Si hay un mercado barato sigue siendo las bolsas emergentes. Hay que ser muy selectivos. Me apoyaría en gestoras como Aberdeen, Templeton, Fidelity, Vontobel, M&G o Gam… Hay gestoras que tienen productos muy potentes tanto en la parte de bolsa como en la parte de deuda. Si el dólar no se aprecia da cabida a tener algo de mercados emergentes, en versión bolsa y deuda. Luego este tipo de activo estaba muy infraponderado o no había en las carteras de muchas casas de gestión. A poco que empieza uno a normalizarse a cierta posición de neutralidad, los flujos, como hemos visto en parte de la retirada de dinero que se ha dado por ejemplo en el Reino Unido ha ido hacia la deuda y también hacia mercados emergentes. Hay una variable que debemos vigilar: ojo a la evolución del yuan. Durante cierto tiempo las autoridades monetarias de China han conseguido estabilizar el yuan contra el dólar y contra una cesta de divisas internacionales, pero últimamente no. Está de tapado este problema porque tenemos encima de la mesa todo lo que ha pasado con la Fed y con el Brexit, pero no vaya a ser que este problema persista en el tiempo y se agravara y volviéramos a tener una segunda parte de agosto de nuevo con ciertas turbulencias procedentes con China. Con lo cual, China sí, pero en menor medida. Quizá India en estos instantes me gusta mucho más.

Por último… ¿cree que es momento para invertir en fondos monetarios como alternativa a la liquidez?

Sí. Hay dos activos frente a la liquidez que son interesantes. Uno de ellos es la deuda corporativa europea y otro la deuda corporativa norteamericana. Ahora mismo está soportada por los bancos centrales y esto unido a los bajos tipos de interés, que se van a prolongar durante un largo periodo de tiempo creo que va a ser una gran alternativa frente a tener el dinero parado, que creo que es un error. Hay que tener liquidez pero no unas enormes bolsas de liquidez. Si uno compara lo que tiene de rentabilidad de un bono en grandes empresas norteamericanas frente a Europa hay un plus. Con lo cual hay que aprovecharlo. PIMCO por ejemplo tiene productos en ese sentido. En el caso de los monetarios: sí, pero hay una clave muy importante. Tienen que ser productos con comisiones de gestión baratísimas. Un ejemplo es un producto de la gestora Amundi con una comisión de gestión del 0,14%. O productos de Renta 4 o Credit Suisse con comisiones de gestión del 0,20% o del 0,30%. Estos tienen rentabilidades del 0,5%, lo cual es una rentabilidad similar a lo que ofrecían los depósitos a principios de año.
