Respecto a la región asiática, “en China creo que las autoridades van a aplicar una política monetaria más acomodaticia”.
“En el pasado hemos visto un exceso de peso de las agencias y, sin embargo, las últimas bajadas de rating han tenido poca repercusión en el mercado y, es que, no hay que darles exceso de peso, hay que fijarse en los fundamentales”. En este sentido, “en Europa tenemos problemas estructurales”, dice García Páez.
Desde un punto de vista del ciudadano “este comienzo de año está siendo duro por el aumento de los impuestos, pero desde el punto de vista del mercado, el efecto de las medidas tomadas ha sido positivo y otros líderes políticos han valorado positivamente las medidas tomadas por Rajoy”.
Respecto a las acciones del BCE, García Paéz reconoce que “nos gustaría y el mercado espera una acción parecida al Quantitative Easing, imprimiendo más dinero. Pero hay un debate interno en el seno de la entidad, aunque la mejora de los mercados está haciendo que este debate no sea tan candente. Se debe centrar, no obstante, en la unión fiscal”.
