Telefónica ha presentado hoy las posibilidades de la digitalización de la industria con su iniciativa Industria 4.0 en la que muestra los beneficios de la aplicación de las nuevas tecnologías a los procesos industriales y en concreto al sector de la automoción.

Telefónica muestra, en esta representación de un escenario de Industria 4.0, los primeros resultados del proyecto de co-innovación que está llevando a cabo con SEAT y en el que participa Ficosa. En concreto, representa cómo el uso de la tecnología blockchain puede aportar trazabilidad, transparencia, y veracidad de la información en la cadena de suministro desde la provisión de piezas de los proveedores (por ejemplo, los espejos retrovisores fabricados por Ficosa en Soria) hasta la compra del vehículo SEAT por parte del cliente final en diversos países.

En una primera parte de la demostración se muestra el transporte de piezas a lo largo de la cadena de suministro, ensamblado en un vehículo y salida de éste hacia el cliente final, además de los eventos que acontecen durante el proceso. En esta fase está presente la tecnología blockchain tanto para garantizar lade la información desde el suministro de las piezas de los proveedores hasta la compra del vehículo por parte del cliente final como para registrar todos los eventos asociados, algunos de los cuales son detectados automáticamente mediante sensores IoT.

Telefónica está utilizando  la sensorización IoT en el caso de uso con SEAT y FICOSA mostrado en el MWC con el objetivo de conocer el estado de los activos durante el transporte. Además, se han implementado capacidades adicionales como la escritura automática de eventos en la cadena de bloques, la gestión de documentación y los smart contracts, que se ejecutan automáticamente en función de los eventos registrados en los diferentes puntos de la cadena de suministro. Los distintos participantes tienen accesos seguros y privados a la información de la cadena de bloques con vistas diferenciadas según los permisos y funciones de cada uno. Gran parte de estos eventos y capacidades se representan en esta primera parte de la demostración de forma virtualizada y gamificada para dar a conocer a los visitantes todo el proceso y tecnologías asociadas.

La segunda parte de la demostración de Industria 4.0 se centra en el proceso de ensamblaje, donde un brazo robótico de RobotPlus, conectado mediante LTE privado sobre una red 5G, se activa montando un vehículo que incluye la pieza transportada hasta ese punto de forma sincronizada. En esta fase, Telefónica demuestra cómo el nuevo concepto de network slicing, una de las grandes bazas de la tecnología 5G, permite ofrecer nuevos servicios digitales a la industria al dar la posibilidad de entregar distintas capacidades de red a diferentes tipologías de servicios de forma simultánea sobre una infraestructura común. De este modo, el 5G garantiza que los procesos críticos en la cadena de producción, como puede ser el control de los robots industriales o tareas de alta precisión, tengan una conectividad inalámbrica excelente y una mínima latencia.

Es importante reseñar en este punto también la importancia del 5G y de las nuevas conectividades IoT en el entorno de industria, como son NB (Narrow Band)-IoT, LTE-M y CAT1 en estos ámbitos. Estas tecnologías están dotadas de capacidades avanzadas especialmente relevantes para la industria como menor consumo de batería, cobertura en interiores reforzada y soportan una mayor densidad de objetos conectados. Telefónica ya dispone de capacidades NB-IoT estándar activadas ya en la red comercial y está dando servicio en este sentido a muchas empresas en el MWC.

En la última parte de la demostración se incorpora en el ecosistema de Industria 4.0 la realidad aumentada. Para realizar una labor de mantenimiento del brazo robótico, un trabajador de la fábrica deberá utilizar unas gafas de realidad aumentada y un sistema de videollamada, que funciona en tiempo real gracias a las conectividades 5G, con el fin de contactar con un experto remoto que le asistirá para optimizar el funcionamiento del robot. Esta aplicación de mantenimiento se ha desarrollado en colaboración con Ericsson.

La trasformación digital de la industria es una prioridad estratégica para Telefónica.
